Cap Camarat 10.5 Retrofit

PR Nautica is thrilled to showcase our latest retrofit project on the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC, completed in August 2024. This project exemplifies our commitment to enhancing the performance, comfort, and aesthetics of premium vessels, transforming this already impressive boat into a cutting-edge, technology-driven marine experience.

Seakeeper 2 Gyro Stabiliser Installation

To ensure unparalleled stability and comfort, we installed the Seakeeper 2 Gyro Stabiliser. This state-of-the-art system dramatically reduces boat roll, offering a smoother, more enjoyable ride in various sea conditions. Whether at anchor or underway, the Seakeeper 2 ensures that every journey is as comfortable as possible.

A thorough inspection of the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC was conducted to determine the optimal location for the Seakeeper 2 unit. Necessary access points were created for wiring, plumbing, and ventilation. Care was taken to minimize disruption to the existing systems and structure. The Seakeeper 2 was integrated in to the vessel’s main MFD allowing seemless control of the stabilisation system alongside the other systems on board.

The Seakeeper 2 effectively reduced the roll of the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC by 91% during sea trials, significantly enhancing onboard comfort, particularly in rough sea conditions.

The successful installation of the Seakeeper 2 on the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC has transformed the vessel’s handling characteristics, offering a smoother and more stable ride. This project demonstrates PR Nautica’s expertise in marine stabilisation technology and commitment to enhancing the boating experience for our clients.

Power Upgrade with 5kVA Inverter and Solar System

The project aimed to enhance the energy independence and efficiency of the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC by installing a Victron Quattro 5000 Inverter/Charger system, two high-efficiency solar panels on the hardtop, and upgrading the existing battery bank with four advanced lithium batteries. The goal was to provide reliable, off-grid power for extended cruising and onboard systems without relying solely on the boat’s engines or shore power.

Optimal locations for the inverter/charger, solar panels, and batteries were identified, ensuring efficient operation, weight distribution, and ease of access for future maintenance. The new system provided a robust and reliable power supply, enabling the owner to enjoy extended stays on the water without relying on shore power. The combination of the Victron Quattro 5000 and the upgraded lithium battery bank offered ample power for all onboard systems, even during heavy usage.

The client expressed high satisfaction with the installation, particularly noting the system’s ability to maintain power stability and the convenience of the remote monitoring setup. The seamless integration of solar power has greatly enhanced the vessel’s autonomy.

  • High Power 5KVa Inverter
  • x4 Lithium batteries
  • Victron Quattro 5000 Inverter (with app control)
  • x2 Solar Panels fitted to hardtop
  • System chargeable via solar, engines, and shore line
  • All of the system managed through the vessels MFD

FLIR M332C Camera Integration

For enhanced safety and navigation, we installed a FLIR M332C thermal camera on the hardtop. This cutting-edge system provides superior night vision capabilities, ensuring clear visibility even in the darkest conditions. The FLIR M332C is a game-changer for nocturnal navigation, giving the captain peace of mind on every journey.

The FLIR M332C combines thermal imaging with a high-definition visible camera, providing the owner with unparalleled situational awareness in both day and night conditions, as well as in challenging weather. The camera was positioned on the hardtop to provide a 360-degree unobstructed view, crucial for maximizing the effectiveness of the thermal and visible light capabilities.

The FLIR M332C was integrated with the existing multifunction display (MFD) at the helm. This integration allows the camera’s feed to be viewed directly on the main display, providing easy access to thermal and visible light imagery during navigation.

Exterior Audio System Enhancement

Understanding the importance of entertainment on board, we upgraded the exterior music system with a high-powered Fusion audio system. This upgrade delivers crystal-clear sound and powerful bass, creating the perfect atmosphere for any occasion, whether cruising, anchoring, or hosting a gathering.

  • Replace x4 standard 70W Fusion Speakers with Fusion 6.5″ 230W Signature Speakers
  • Add 10″ Fusion Signature Subwoofer
  • Add Fusion Signature 6 channel amp (1500W)
  • Replace the standard fitted Fusion RA670 with a touch screen RA770 which includes AirPlay and a link to the Raymarine network.

Hull Vinyl Wrap Transformation

Aesthetically, the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC received a stunning makeover with a custom vinyl wrap. We applied a sleek matt black wrap to the hull sides, accentuated by glossy decals for a striking, modern look. This new design not only enhances the boat’s visual appeal but also provides additional protection to the hull.

Pepwave Wi-Fi System Installation

In today’s connected world, reliable internet access is crucial. We installed a Pepwave Wi-Fi router system with upgraded antennas to ensure strong and stable connectivity, no matter where the journey takes you. This system allows for seamless streaming, communication, and navigation, making your time on the water even more enjoyable.
