This Princess 88 was a 2018 project for the PR Nautica team. The whole team were part of this spectacular transformation. PR Nautica were challenged with some unique requests from the client and we were able to deliver. From factory build right through to its retro fit we kept the customer up to date with the in-build process and schedules. We carried out many Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI’s) whilst the vessel was at the factory. Once ready to dispatch to us our fully insured skipper collected, sea trialled and brought the vessel to our head office at Mount Batten Marina, Plymouth.
SALOON AND DINING AREA
We completely refit the saloon and dining area on this vessel. The client requested all frontages and drawers to be replaced with Makassar Ebony wood. To keep the colour scheme flowing throughout, we manufactured the saloon sofa corner tables and corner unit in walnut with Makassar ebony drawers and frontages. We also made a coffee table in Makassar ebony fitted with a stainless-steel frame and four upholstered pouffe’s.
In the dining area the client requested our technicians to fit a luxury 88” Mirror TV screen. This really was a unique piece and looked remarkable. When the Television isn’t in use the screen is a mirror making it an impressive feature to the dining area. Our technicians installed all wiring and mounted to the bulkhead. The screen has a handmade 50MM board covered with leather surround, it’s really transformed the whole area.
Adding more detail, we fitted and stained the flooring to match the dark wood of the furniture throughout the saloon and dining area. The client wanted the headlining panels to mirror the floor inlay panels. The panels were upholstered in suede with Ebony gloss features.
Electrically operated roman blinds were also manufactured and installed throughout the saloon and dining area.
In the master cabin our technicians manufactured and fitted the bunk headboard panel in a handmade rhombus design. The design behind this was that the headboard would mirror the bed set.
The bunk panels and headlining panels were reupholstered in exclusively ordered Fendi fabric. Out of the same material bespoke, handmade stools were supplied. The client also requested the carpet of the master cabin to be Fendi Nilo Bamboo Fibre Taupe rugs, to meet the clients request we arranged for the rugs to be stitched together to make a full-size carpet to fill the master cabin floor area.
We similarly manufactured two bedside units and a vanity unit in walnut with Makassar Ebony drawers and fronts, fitted Porto Romana wall lamps, fitted USB sockets either side of the bunks, installed retractable reading lamps, created a walnut gloss frame for the heads mirror.
In the forward cabin our technicians did many of the same changes as the master cabin.
The client wanted a waterproof television fitted to the main deck area at the wetbar. Our design team recommended the TV was mounted onto a custom made, stainless steel, rotating post at the end of the wet bar. The client opted for this option which meant the TV could be locked into position or removed when not in use. The TV fitted here was a Aqualite 32″ IP66 rated LED TV.
